Heads up

This page explains exactly how The Supplement Brief earns money. The short version: reader-funded, commission on some links, never at extra cost to you.

Disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

Plain and up front: The Supplement Brief makes money through affiliate links. This page tells you how that works and the limits we put on it. Last updated June 2026.

How we earn

When you click a link on this site to a product's official website, such as Jelly Tide, and then make a purchase, we may receive a commission from that retailer. The commission is paid by the merchant out of their margin. It is not added to your order, so you pay the same price whether you reach the store through our link or type the address yourself.

What the commission does not buy

A commission never buys a better review. We write and score a product before any affiliate link is added, and the rate a merchant pays has no bearing on the rating, the ranking or the recommendation. We publish genuine criticism, including low marks and negative reviews, even on products we earn from. If we did not, our reviews would be worthless to you and to us.

FTC compliance

We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). In practice that means our relationship with merchants is disclosed clearly and close to the relevant links, the disclosure is in plain language, and our opinions reflect our honest assessment. Affiliate links are also marked for search engines with the appropriate rel attributes.

How our reviews are produced

We buy the products we test at normal retail price, run a structured trial, and aggregate verified buyer reviews. The ratings, statistics and testimonials you see are an editorial presentation based on those sources; they are not externally audited data, and the review-submission form on our site is display-only and does not feed our scores. You can read the full process on our how we review page.

Independence

The Supplement Brief is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the manufacturer of Jelly Tide or any other brand we cover. Trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
